Phone crime has gotten really bad in London, especially for young people, who are the main targets. But who’s best equipped to fight it? Those who know it best, of course. That’s why giffgaff are sending out the giffgang, ‘refurbished’ ex-phone thieves who are now helping stop phone crime with a series of guerilla ‘reverse robberies’. In these playful interactions, they hand out anti-phone theft cases and dish out phone safety advice straight from the horse’s mouth. In this way, they bring education on the issue and optimism back to the streets of London.
