The Tremaine Collection
Shortlist / Graphic Design / Websites & Apps / 2025
The Tremaine Collection, with nearly 700 works by artists like Andy Warhol and Piet Mondrian, is a cornerstone of modern art history. Collected by Burton G. and Emily Hall Tremaine between 1936 and 1984, it captures the freewheeling rise of modern and pop art. Once one of the finest U.S. collections, it was dispersed through auctions in the late 20th century. Today, it’s recollected digitally at tremainecollection.org, offering an interpretation of an immersive digital museum that blends artworks with archival materials, giving insight into the artists' creative processes.
