Sunbeds can emit up to 15x more UVA than the sun, the World Health Organisation declares them as carcinogenic to humans. Use a sunbed before 35 and your risk of getting skin cancer increases by almost 60%.
Despite this, sunbeds remain in use in the UK via the Sunbed Regulation Act. We chose the anniversary of the Sunbed Regulation Act to ask for change, calling on the UK Government to make warnings mandatory on sunbeds. We exposed the law itself to the UV rays sunbeds emmit. The burnt laws were then sent to politicians, journalists and influencers to demand changes to legislation.
